ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

DEUCE is the debut documentary feature from Graziano Bros Filmworks.

Principal photography of DEUCE took place in 4 segments during the 2006 calendar year. Shooting began on location in March during the ’06 WPIAL basketball finals at the Palumbo Center at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and continued on to Hershey for the PIAA Championships at the Giant Center. In July, filming took place in and around North Braddock, at the Five-Star Camp at Robert Morris University and ABCD Basketball Camp at Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. Shooting continued during the fall and winter and focused on following Deuce through his football and basketball routines. Over 150 people were interviewed during filming and more than 36 hours of footage captured at a multitude of sporting venues throughout Western Pennsylvania.

DEUCE premiered to excellent reviews in November 2008, was voted Audience Favorite at the 3 Rivers Film Festival in Pittsburgh and also earned recognition with a Silver Ace Award from the 2009 Las Vegas Film Festival. As of 2010, Deuce has put 55 seasons under his belt documenting local sports action and is inching toward his 10,000th basketball fray slowly, but surely.
